Wait so you got a new scratchless disk and a new disk drive? Try running a live cd of a linux distro and see what happens
Totty What version of windows are you trying to install? I assume windows is installing ok and after it's installed are you going back into setup and changing your boot sequence back to(boot from HD) Let me know Good luck
Cheers For Answering Guy`s Albino,,writer is brand new,and disc was just burnt from image i still got on my own pc,,,that famous xp pro corporate lol,,,funny you mentioned the live cd,,i did that and it worked ok,, Morquex,,xp pro corporate ,,it boots from disc,,formatts,,then it copies files,re-boots,then after re-boot,,thats when i get the error,so it does`nt get as far as installing windows,,whats puzzling me is,,it boots from disc with no probs,,but after reboot thats when i get my error
Totty Do you have another hard drive you can try? Not sure if thats the problem, but I would try that first. Let me know Good luck
fdisk using a win98 or winme boot floppy disk or delete the partition, make a new partition then format the hd using the xp cd. if still have that error then try another hd or a different copy of xp.
