I just bought my DVD Recorder(Phillips DVDR 615/17) yesterday,And I am having trouble setting up the DVDR with my Cable DVR Box..I also have a 52" WideScreen HDTV,My Cable is set to channel CMP 1 but the DVDR box doesnt have this channel...I'v tried to switch the cables but it doesnt show the picture.
A lot of DVD recorders have External Inputs Have you tried inputing your cable into the external input then setting your player to EXT1 or 2 ? Does your tv have an out to vcr ? You may be able to input the cable to the tv then out to your dvd recorder (usually the tv is set to channel 3 so your dvd recorder should be set to channel 3 unless using the EXT inputs)
Nevermind,I Called the 1-800 # and they said it doesnt work with the HD DVR boxes yet so im taking it back to find one that works with the HD DVR boxes.
