Dont know if they still make or sell these anymore but you ever consider dual powersupples? (i.e., dual 400W units, about 1.5 the size of a "regular" 400W PS but has two input plugs or something like that). BTW If ur o/cing to the point where u have a dedicated psu for the proc, are u using exotic cooling techniques? For the fall me want to get a XP3200 and o/c it a crapload... may dabble with water cooling and stuff... gotta look more into it though. What exactly is Peltier? Seen it so much surprised i dont actually knwo what it is
hi sorry i dont know this = exotic cooling techniques the second psu is just for the peltier! a peltier is like a flat piece of metal that you power 12v big watts though! so you need separate supply, it resides in between the HSF and the CPU. it acks like a fridge one side cools big time and the other disperces the heat! its a couple of mm thick i hav had water cooling hence the big fan 120mm hole at the front of my system it ahd the rad and fan coupled there with the pump inside the box, i also have the power relayed so when i pushed the pc 12volts swith it turned on the 240v pump ehiem 1045, i had a flow meter inline like a fan if it stopped the alarm went off the same as the 12v relay if that gave up (cpu fry time) the alarm went off too. yes i do like a dabble....
