ah sorry, update: jumped on another PC and downloaded microsofts malware remover, it came up with nothing... big fat 0 but, i did a scan with their windows live care centre, and it came up with 3000 spyware and a few trojans... a fair few system 32 files seem to be infected. unfortunately, the program was not able to repair any of the infected files

install spybot, all is working good. It is fully up to date. it only came up with win32.fraudload.edt it cleaned, but it came back again, again and again. it occured to me that my avast isnt able to scan, nor is it updated. so at the moment im trying to sort that out. i still cant access microsoft or any antivirus websites, which seems to be the only problem i can see, other than the system running a litlle slow.
