Hi schwein05 What funny message does your computer display? You are most definitely infected. Please follow steps #3-6 on this page: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/370698 . Does it help? Best Regards
Hi, I apologize for posting before i did a search but i was a little bit frantic last night. Basically when I open I-Explorer it does not go to my normal home page (the blank page) instead it takes me to this website called microsoft internet security and it wants me to purchase the new microsoft anti spywear/virus program… on top of the new home page a window pops up that explains that I could be infected with this particular virus and it states the specific operating systems that are not effected by this virus (lunix *sp etc.. ) and it states that I should buy the new Microsoft anti spywear/virus program again… It seems as though if I complete the steps in the link you gave it should fix the problem, I will try it out tonight when I get home from work! and post the update. On a side note what programs should I buy or install on my computer to keep it as clean and safe as possible? All I currently have now is Kaspersky 7.0… Thanks for your quick help! Ben
looks like everything is cleaned right up after i did what the link you gave me told me too do! thank you so much for your help! Ben
