    Hello Kingsrul.

    Your HijackThis log is clean.

Please note that it is not necessarily a malware problem. In fact, I doubt it highly. It can be a hardware problem. Don't worry: many people have this problem too: just google "cpu usage 40%". It can be a graphic card, usb ports, or even a motherboard problem. You can read about it on google's results, and see which solution works best for you.

Any moderators reading this: please move this thread to "Other PC hardware"

    Best Regards :D

    Hi Kingsrul,

See if you can get rid of that Trojan:

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run the SDFix.exe by double clicking on it.
    • Allow it to install into the default location which is normally c:\SDFix

Reboot your computer in "Safe Mode" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

    • When you have booted into safe mode, open the C:\SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
    • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
    • It will remove any Trojan Services or Registry entries found and then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
    • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
    • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
    • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt.
    • Attach the Report.txt file to your next message.

    Hi Kingsrul,

I guess Windows is doing some Housekeeping at Idle.

Let’s do some cleaning and free up some system resources..

This should speed you up somewhat..

Please download => ATF Cleaner by Atribune & save it to your desktop. DO NOT use yet.

Please download and install => SUPERAntiSpyware Free
    • Double-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
    • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
    • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and unzip into the program's folder.)[/i]
    • Under the "Configuration and Preferences", click the Preferences... button.
    • Click the "General and Startup" tab, and under Start-up Options, make sure "Start SUPERAntiSpyware when Windows starts" box is unchecked.
    • Click the "Scanning Control" tab, and under Scanner Options, make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
    o Close browsers before scanning.
    o Scan for tracking cookies.
o Terminate memory threats before quarantining.

    • Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen and exit the program.
Do not run a scan just yet.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    • Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All.
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browser click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
    • Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Note: On Vista, "Windows Temp" is disabled. To empty "Windows Temp" ATF-Cleaner must be "Run as an Administrator".

    Scan with SUPERAntiSpyware as follows:
    • Launch the program and back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your computer.
    • On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
    • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan and click "Next".
    • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
    • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
    • A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
    • If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes" and reboot normally.
    • To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
o Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
o Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
o If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor.
o Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply.

    • Click Close to exit the program.

    Reboot to Normal Mode

    Free up some system resources
This will normally cut back on CPU usage during Idle Time.

Press the Windows & Pause/Break keys > click the Advanced Tab > under Performance click the Settings button >
Uncheck All Except: “Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop”, “Smooth edges of screen fonts”, and “Use visual styles on windows and buttons” > click Apply and OK.

Open My Computer (press the Windows & E keys) > right click on each drive and choose Properties > under the General Tab, uncheck the box that says Allow the Indexing Service to Index this disk for fast file searching > a window will pop up, make sure the box is checked that says Apply change to (drive letter):\, subfolders and files and click OK. Windows will apply the changes, click OK.
Once you have done all the drives I recommend you reboot..

Now Set a New Restore Point to prevent possible reinfection from an old one. Some of the malware you picked up could have been saved in System Restore. Since System Restore is a protected directory, your tools can not access it to delete these bad files which sometimes can reinfect your system. Setting a new restore point AFTER cleaning your system will help prevent this and enable your computer to "roll-back" to a clean working state.

The easiest and safest way to do this is:

    • Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and click "System Restore".
    • Choose the radio button marked "Create a Restore Point" on the first screen then click "Next". Give the R.P. a name then click "Create". The new point will be stamped with the current date and time. Keep a log of this so you can find it easily should you need to use System Restore.
    • Then go to Start > Run and type: Cleanmgr
    • Click "OK".
    • Click the "More Options" Tab.
    • Click "Clean Up" in the System Restore section to remove all previous restore points except the newly created one.

    Defragment your Hard Drive

    1.Open My Computer.
2.Right-click the local disk volume that you want to defragment, and then click Properties.
3.On the Tools tab, click Defragment Now.
    4.Click Defragment.

This should put you into Top Shape…. So, Let us know how everything is going and if you still have any problems…………..
