Keep in mind that this forum is NOT for checking logs. It is here to help people who think they are infected. If all you want is just to check your log, please use HijackThis Log Analyzer. If you think you're infected please provide more details on your problem than just "Help!" or “check my log”.
I really did think I was infected. By the way you speak, I assume I am not? I am sorry if I have wasted time. Thanks
You didn’t waste my time.. I am like your doctor, if you tell him you “Think” you are infected, he will want to know what makes you think so. Do you have any pain, what are the symptoms, etc? If you are unable to tell him then he will probably tell you to take 2 aspirin and call him in the morning. HijackThis Logs don’t do anything but give clues to the pains you describe. It’s kinda like looking at an x-ray without knowing what you’re looking for if you don’t have any symptoms : )
Oh, haha. I'm sorry. Well, last night my computer was running hideously slowly for no apparent reason. It is an 8 month old laptop and I like to think I know how to look after my computers, haha. The internet was similarly sluggish; I usually download at around 300kbps and last night it was about 30. I could only upload at like 3kbps. I recently spent a fair amount of time on a website where I know some fairly shifty and technically minded people operate. I am a paranoid kind of person, so thought that the computer was being actively hacked. Sorry to sound stupid. Thanks for your help.
Hi CR3AT10N, Well your HJT Log doesn’t tell me anything and, as a fact, I hate Vista…. Period : ) I am running Windows 7 RC and love it…………… Let’s dig in and see what we can come up with… First: Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan. • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <-- Don't forget this. • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt • Please post the MBAM Log in your next reply. Maybe we can get a toe hold on your problem and then go from there… 2oG
