See Myzor Removal. Disregard the instructions for AVGAS, you'll only need to follow instructions for SmitfraudFix. Then, if these are still in the log, fix them with HjT. [bold]O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7b4d79df-9ef0-429d-a0e9-d9b138c6a53b} - C:\Program Files\VideoCompressionCodec\isaddon.dll O3 - Toolbar: Protection Bar - {1a29a79a-b9c8-44a9-bedf-7fadde3cf33f} - C:\Program Files\VideoCompressionCodec\iesplugin.dll[/bold] Should be fine after that.
Where do you get your knowledge from? I like to now so I don't have to bather guys like you anymore with questions I can probably fix myself if I had the same knowledge.... Thanks
After typing this I found I may have been a little detailed, but who cares, you want to learn, right? Many months of research and a strong will to learn. Google will also teach you alot. Just take your HjT log for example, search some of the files. For example: I see this 02 entry in your log: O2 - BHO: DriveLetterAccess - {5CA3D70E-1895-11CF-8E15-001234567890} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\DLA\DLASHX_W.DLL Do you know what this file belongs to? Search DLASHX_W.DLL in Google and you will find it belongs to Sonic or Hewlett-Packard. Therefore, this is a legit file. Do not always trust one site though, many bad files can also have the same name as legit files, but the difference is they are located in a different folder. But, if you search isaddon.dll from this entry: O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7b4d79df-9ef0-429d-a0e9-d9b138c6a53b} - C:\Program Files\VideoCompressionCodec\isaddon.dll You will find that file belongs to Myzor. Now, you will not always find info on files you do not know. But more than likey there has been someone before you with the same problem. For example: if you have an 02 entry named fyight.dll. You won't find anything about that file because it has a random name, which is very common with malware. But, say you also have an 020 entry named fyight.dll. Reseach will tell you this is an infection called Vundo because of the identical 02 and 020 entries. I guess my point is Google is good when your just starting to learn. After working with logs a long time you will be able to spot malware very fast. There are many sites that offer malware removal training for free. Downside of this is it take many months and long hours of research to finish these courses. But they will teach you much! Where to start: After all that sinks in you need to learn to read HjT logs. HjT is number one priority. Here's a HjT tutorial to start you out. And here is 10 teriffic tips for using HjT. Want to know more? PM me. Good luck and happy cleaning.
