Hitch v59dj not reading disc

Hi i know how to get my dvd in to mode b and i used slax 2.0 to do that then i ran iXtreme1.4_Hitachi_C4EVA 12x and said patching was done, but now my drive does not red games or cd's.... so i have my orginal firm and i loaded it up in firmware and just to make sure i have the keys and well this is all i know how to do... I know i will need to reflash my old firmware... but i dont know what else too do i have read guides and tuts but they say different things or are too old, need hands on please with this drive and steps to get it to work please ty for reading
