I am using the college lan,and I am getting very low band-width,Is there anyway i can get more bandwidth??Because my downloads run at 300kBps but i cant even log on to Yahoo!
It's like this you really can't surf while downloading on p2p.What client do you use so I can give you a guide? Also you can unplaug your router for 3 minutes and after getting back online "repair" your connection. You should do this when ever the problem persists(if this is torrents that is). @dragonup go away idiot!
I have this when using Azurues, its impossible to use the web at the same time basically for me when running torrent, so i am also interested in this! I dont really use my computer when running torrent though to be honest
This is a really common issue. Bittorrent clients will hog all of the available upstream bandwidth unless restrained from doing so, and this not only interferes with other applications, it actually slows down Bittorrent itself. Use a web site speed test to discover your actual upload bandwidth, following the directions carefully. Once you have that, use it to set your global maximum upload speed to about 80% of that value, being careful to convert units properly. (1 KB/s = 8 Kb/s). That should enable you to websurf, and even speed up your bittorrent transfers.
actually i am sharing a 6 MBPS connection with the college(over a proxy),so i am having trouble getting any bandwidth..Can someone refer me a good software??Cause i am getting a speed of 200KBPS on downloading but i cant open any messengers..
