I have been using the homebrew channel for a while now. Playing snes nes gens watching avi movies ect... The other day I went to play snes and the load screen showed up in the homebrew channel and its stuck at 0%, so I tried every other homebrew app i have all with same results. I reformated sd card, removed homebrew channel, and reinstalled via dvd iso installer and success! However When I try to open the homebrew browser app Stuck at 0% (have to hold down power button to reset wii). whats the deal? The sd card obviously works or The apps wouldnt show up. I have a launch day ntsc wii Wiikey 1.9s 3.2 firmware Any suggestions, I miss my roms
Do you have a gamecube memory card in the wii? I know that makes the homebrew channel fail to load apps.
I may be wrong but from what I understand the homebrew channel was originally designed to load apps from an SD card in a GC adapter slot. So it looks to the GC slots for apps first. As for why it doesn't automatically load from the wii SD if it doesn't find any apps there I'm not sure, hopefully it'll be fixed in the next version. Either way though, I'm glad everything is working for you again.
I have a card in my GC slot and my SD card and it works fine. Is this just a problem that affects some wii's and not others ? I run the beta_8 homebrew channel so is that why ? Not heard of this before so just curious ?
Actually I've never tested it myself. But maybe it was fixed in beta 8. I have 8 as well so I'll test it later.
I am not sure if anybody does have this problem. I previously updated to 3.3J and then downgraded it with the downgrader v1.1 and now the homebrew channel, which was installed before updating to 3.3J. I thought it would work. But now whenever I accessed it, it sometimes froze and then when I tried to access it, the wad manager, nothing happened, it just stuck there with 0%. Have anybody had such experience?
