Homemade movie ?

    I recently took some video of a family trip and want to be abe to make everyone a DVD of our trip. I'm using windows movie maker to edit it (because that's all i know right now). How do I go about writing these videos? Do I have to convert something?

    are the files avi,mov,mpeg or ? I'm using a program called Pinnacle 10.5.2 not free but you can make great home videos and burn to a dvd disc
