    Hello everyone, I have a problem. I purchased a a kit to make a usb charger hoping to use it with my video iPod (https://www.aarondunlap.com/index.php?content=electronics/usba). This doesn't seem to work all that well, if at all. When the iPod abttery is dead and I plug it into the usb charger, the icon will come up. It will stay there for a while, sometimes it flashes. But for no reason, the icon will disappear and I assume that it isn't charging anymore. But if it's off, but the sharger is plugged in and on, and I turn off the charger, the iPod screen will turn on like it was charging. The battery doesn't seem to get any better with the charger on, with the iPod on or off. It puts out a steady 5v, and it will charge if plugged in to a computer. I have noe idea what could be wron now, but I would greatly appreciate any help.

    My suggestion would have been to take the money you wasted on the do-it-yourself USB charger kit and spend it on a new charger/usb cable/dock. Probably would have saved you time money and this hassle. So what are you waiting for go buy one now!

    LMAO!!!

    @gltwelve--

    I'm sorry, but I am afraid that they are right. Those do-it-yourself kits are always so risky when it comes to iPods. I would just go buy the USB/Firewire cable for the $30 because it is sooo worth it. ;-)
