I have a lot of WMA file that were recorded by a friend. All of a sudden they are showing "Protected YES" in properties. How did they get changed ? Since they are custom and not from a CD I can't download a license, how do I unprotect them ?
WMP default is the DRM anything that you rip. Too bad your friend is a bottom feeder and also did not alter that default. There are great for free rippers out there.
I too would like to know how to get around this protection. I have found some programs that claim they can do it but i'm not gonna pay 40 bucks for it. There has to be a free program out there that will at least let you burn to a disc so I can re-import the cd. Anyone know of any? I can't seem to find one.
You can burn them to disk. The DRM removers all cost money and will be outlawed pretty soon so cough up the money or forget it. They will only work if you can play the tune.
