Hey everyone. I am having trouble connection my computer to my tv. I have never done this before and have never experienced it either. I guess i could say im a newbie at it. Anyway i have a mitsubishi wd-52327
    http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/televisions/details.asp?id=171

and i have a msi 6600gt video card
    http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=NX6600GT-TD128E&class=vga

I tried connecting through dvi and no luck at all. I dont know if its cuz my settings on my card i have for my computer or what(pixels refresh rate, etc...). Plus its a pain in the butt because i have to keep on diconnecting my monitor and try and hook it up to the tv and back and forth.

Someone please help me try and do this. Thanks.

Shut down the computer. Now hook up the tv and boot the comp? Do you see anything now?

Download the latest nvidia drivers and install them.
Make sure you change the tv video to your dvi input
    unplug the monitor.
    Turn the pc on.
At the least you'll see the dos screen as it boots up. If you can't see anything once windows starts you'll need to plug the monitor back and change the pc desktop resolution to 1280x720 and try again.

you need to hook that TV up with a DVI cable to have the resolutions you want.. it wont work through S-Video

i think i know what my problem was with the dvi. I was just being an idiot. I was hooking my my vga to the dvi with adapter. i need to probably hook it up on the dvi side of my video card as well as in the tv. I dont mind the svideo its not bad, its just in black and white set at 480i. dont know why. if anyone knows please tell me.

the svideo could be black and white because of the region settings, make sure that the output region is NTSC if your in the US or PAL if your in europe...

id use the dvi cable anyway its better quality
