Hi, I was thinking of hooking up the logitech z-5500 speakers to my tv, but I read on this website that

"Unfortunately, there's no standard phono input, so you won't be able to connect it to your TV directly, for example. A 3.5mm jack adapter is required for that, but it's not included in the package."

Is that the same 3.5m jack adapter you use for headphones, I don't quite understand what a phono input is? Is this a simple fix? please Help.

Does your tv have 5 channel out? Chances are it dosent, maybe optical if its new. But if you have a dvd player that has 5.1 out in rca's, then you just have to buy 3 rca to 3.5mm adapters, and then connect the logis to thoes adapters. Another way, but see, your tv probally has 2 channels out, Right, Left Rcas. So if you connect your Logis to that, you can only use 2/5 speakers.

Um, I don't know, it has 2 components inputs, 1 S-component and 4 av components if that makes a difference/
