hookup stero to computer

    i was wondering if anybody can tell me how i can hookup a stero system to a computer and be able to record things off the radio? also what is need to be able to do this?

    go thru your sound card input or mic jacks. need 1/8" stero male jack to sound card & depends on the connectors on the stero ouput.

    You need to connect the stereo sytem to your sound card, from the Tape Rec connections on the back of your amplifier.

    hey ddp

    do i connect the 1/8 stero male jack to my head phones jack on my stero system and then to my sound card?

    yeah, just take a cable with 2 1/8th in male ends, plug one end to your headphone jack, and the other to the line in on the sound card, or maybe even your mic input

    ok but also will i need any special type of software to help me record?

    well you could just try to use the recording stuff windows comes with, go to start>programs>accessories>entertainment>sound recorder. i've never used it but it should work ok

    ok i may try to do that. also is the cord just called 1/8 male stero jack or is there another name for it?
