Capture Device: Dazzle DV-80 (Installed Correctly) Also have a creative Webcam. (Installed Correctly) I love VDub as a capture tool but I have problems everynow and then with settings and config. My capture device is a Dazzle DV-80 and I have successfully capured with it through VDub but I know my settings are wrong...just could never figure out what though..and then today I found Luke's Video Guide. I went to the virtual dub setup section and ran into what I believe is my problem right off the get. I begin by unpluging the Wecam and plugging in the Dazzle DV-80. I then load VDub. Here is what happens when I click "capture avi: 1. Error 418 Capture Driver is not installed properly I click ok and get: 2. Virtual Dub cannot connect to the desired capture driver. Trying all available drivers. I click ok..and within seconds the picture appears and looks fine. I then follow the instructions in the guide and I look at the bottom of the video tab to see what is there. This is what I see: 0 Creative Webcam (VFW) 1 Microsoft WDM image capture (Win32) The 1 is the one with the dark circle near it. Nowhere to be found under the choices is the DV-80. I figured it was driver conflict of some kind so I uninstalled the WebCam drivers and software and the DV-80 drivers as well. I then reinstalled JUST the DV-80 drivers figuring this would do it. I was wrong..it did not. Despite the fact that I deleted all the Webcam software and that the cam was not connected to the USB port, VDub still did the exact same thing on loadup and STILL listed the same config as posted above. To find out if the DV-80 would be recognized in another program I then loaded Vwave5 and it did in fact have the DV-80 listed as a choice for capture source..sooo I'm guessing that the problem is VDub specific. Any and all help here would be appreciated. I only want to capture with VDub and would hate to have to continue using it knowing it isn't configured correctly. Thanks Much.
My advice, to just use videowave 5, but if it works under V dub use it there, i dont really what your doing..but to my knowledge you are trying to get the video from your webcam to your PC using dazzle-80..is this so? if it is just use videowave 5, and if you need to clip anything from it use vdub..hope this helps
