I am having a problem playing a Dvd-r that i originally ripped from a dvd+r. The issue occurrs when i play the burned dvd-r in my Koss and Orion home dvd player. It playes the dvd but the picture has white horizontal lines going up the screen. I can her the audio playback perfectly . This only happens with these older dvd home player. On the other hand my 2k5 dvd player reads the disk both (+) and (-) fine. What could possible be the ready why this is occuring?

The media i am using is strictly Ritek/Ridata 8x dvd-r. i have 5 home dvd player , new and old. i have never had this problem and i burn to liteon 1693s drive. I have never ever! I repeat ever had a coaster! The home players in question are highly maintained. But i will clean them just in case. I have tested them with other dvd-r perviously burned and also with factory replicated disks and it works perfectly. The error again is horizontal lines going up the scree while the picture is vaguely visible in the background. I have also checked it with differnt screens/tvs aswell.

I would love an answer to this question also. I have the same problem occasionally , the horizontal flipping, good audio, poor color of picture vbeing flipped.

Onbe thing in common is that I also use RiData 8x DVDr
