I've been using DVDX to try and convert some IFO files to MPEG. It all goes well, until I start to encode the actual film.

It seems I get these horizontal lines appear whenever there's alot of movement.

Another thing I'm having problems with is that certain DVDs refuse to be read by my drive. I've got this DVD-R disc that wont play on my PC, but works fine on normal players. The files on this disc wern't applied with a burner. A DVD recorder was linked to a VHS and recorded of off that. is there any way I could get this DVD to play on my PC?

    any advice is appreciated. cheers

That actually happens more than you would think and a lot of time it just depends on the dvd-r media that is used, basically, the more it costs the better it usually is lol!

I'll take that into account - cheers

Would it be possible to hook-up my PS2 or DVD player to my PC and transfer from there? I was intending to upload a few films to Emule.
