Are these movies you downloaded from the Internet or movies youve created yourself?

Your problem might be that your computer isnt fast enough to decode mpeg2 movies using the windvd player. I would recommend watching your movies in another player like maybe Windows Media Player 6.4 or the zoomplayer.
Then again these movies might be interlaced and short of re-encoding them, the only other option i can think of is to use a decoder that can deinterlace while watching the movie. Thats where FFDshow comes in. You can enable the filter to deinterlace interlaced movies but make sure to enable the filter to decode mpeg2 content by selecting the libavcodec in the supported codecs option under the codec menu._X_X_X_X_X_[small]Life is but a dream...so wake me up already!!![/small]
