    Ran this through Dvd Fab then into VobBlanker and the program froze up on me. So now I'm at a loss. Guess all I can do now is wait and hope one of you smarter guys figure out a way to back this one up. For now I will check to see if there are any newer versions of Fab and Blanker available .Oh and big surprise it's a sony.

    From the looks of it, it seems like a large DVD. Are the special features worth keeping?

    If you back up the movie itself, you dont need to compress.(Even with all audio tracks and subs)

    Nah, I like retaining everything on the disc (minus the foreign languages/subtitles). I like the bonus features!

    Yeah, but what does that mean? I'm not at the movies now lol. I'm home and they offer these amenities as a bonus.

    I am planning on buying this movie tomorow, but I tried to upgrade my anydvd, and it just came up "your trail version has expired", I thought my registration key would be okay...so I had to reinstall my old version....so what is this dvdfab, and what is better???

    @Canucker6
    Umm backing up rentals is a no-no (also against forum rules). So if you BUY the movie tomorrow - dvdfab decrypter will handle it.
    http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

    Now the anydvd key bit - if you bought AnyDVD thru Slysoft then contact them - your key is good. If you got it by any others means well then I would say you're sol on updating it.
    edit: fix link

    yes we did buy anydvd, so I just have to call them and explain to them, that rocks I will be doing that for sure, so is dvdfab just as good though, cause I have never really hand any problems with anydvd.
    This is the fist I have ever heard of dvdfab

    @Canucker6
    This may help from slysoft's website:
    http://www.slysoft.com/en/after-a-system-crash-i-have-reinstalled-windows-no-faq.60.50.html
    Granted you didn't have a system crash but give it a shot.
    As long as you have the key you should just have to execute/click on it and reboot.
    The simplest method is AnyDVD w/ shrink, clonedvd etc. DVD Fab decrypter adds a step by having to rip it first to your hard drive then opening those files in shrink/ recode etc. Both are updated to handle the latest stuff.

    Not really a biggie though - one thing it's free and depending on your pc specs an extra 10 mins maybe?
    Oh and the uninstall of AnyDVD - if you have your key in the program folder copy it elsewhere - uninstalling the program will probably delete it.
