Hey, I did play Warcraft: 3 on Battle.Net, and I like to host. I used to be able to host, but for some reason, now I can't. I always keep my Windows firewall off, and when I logg on Warcraft, I turn of my Norton firewall. If you have any clue what i'm talking about, then you know how you have to go into like "Create Game", and then you type in all that stuff. Well, if you can't host, nobody will join, and if you can well, millions of people will join, no matter what game you'r hosting. And, nobody joins, i've even asked a friend to try and see if he can join my game, but he can't. Port 6113 is the deafult port to be open to be played on Warcraft, and its always open. But, it's still not working... I'm using a D-Link routter, and I belive there's a firewall on the Routter, but im not for sure. How do I get this to work so I can host? Thanks! k2skatn
This should be posted here http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/168 ok buddy. This is a p2p section. Thanks By the way since your already hear.If your router has a firewall You need to configure your router to give acces to your game you should also forward the port.To get into the router configuration you need to go to the web based utility the user manual will tell you how.you can go to the dlink site and download the manual if you lost it. here's more info on port forwarding. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/223583 http://www.portforward.com/
I'm going to go ahead and ask a mod to move this thread ok.There are alot of warcraft players here and I think they could help you more than us...I have a feeling It's NOT the router.
Everyone that can not host this game is mainly due to one reason. You are behind a router and you are not PORT FORWARDING the packets that come from battle.net to your local computer and the right ports are not open in your router firewall.
