if you're box is modded already you don't have to hotswap anything, you should already have a backup of the original C/E folders and the EEPROM. now for the big question, what is your intended outcome??? are you wanting to upgrade to a larger drive or what?

hi, i just wanted to get a bigger hdd. the previous hdd is already modded with evox and works good but i cant store bigger games like halo 2 on there....we tried it today but the xbox said problem 09 and needs service.....typical... but thats cos the disk tray isnt connected....we also tried changing the leads etc while it was at the dash.....still nothing... so basicly all i want is a bigger hdd......cant i just ftp the whole contents of my modded xbox hdd to this one? (btw not sure if this helps but its formatted in nts or something for the xp.....cos it was for my pc lol)

as previously mentioned, you don't have to do any hot swapping........just FTP into your box and backup your C and E folders and your EEPROM, then use XBOXHDM and those files to create your own upgrade disc that you use with your PC and the new harddrive and it'll make the FAT X file system and partitions, copy the contents of the C and E folders to them and lock the drive, then you can pop it in your box and it'll be exactly like it was just now you'll have the bigger drive.

while there are allot of folks out there who curse XBMC for all it's worth and only use it once in a great while as an application, IMHO it's by and far the superior dashboard and it's what i use and install on all the boxes i mod. I've never had a single problem with it and it does everything that any other dash can do, and more
