    I keep having errors with this dvd during ripping for some reason. Some on the fly deal. ANyway i have used 4 dual layers now and have tried several different things. Any suggestions? Is it just not possible to back up any and all dvd to a dual layer?

    @jpstickin

    What is the exact error log u get??

    U should use DVD Decrypter or DVD Fab Decrypter and DVD Shrink and the use Nero or CloneDVD 2.

    I used DVD Decrypter and Shrink and CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD in the background and it worked fine.

    the trick with DVD43 and AnyDVD, is not to run them at the same time, they are not compatibale to run together they conflict a lot.

    If ur goin to run them choose one and c if it works if one doesnt work one with one movie try the other one if they both dont work try neither as u said :)

    It was so long ago I believe I used dvd decrypter and dvd shrink to do it but still had to use a dual layer dvd to fit it

    i wasnt running dvd43 and anydvd at the same time. Any time i have used these programs they just complicate things, with dvd decrypter at least. Zorro has been the only one so far i havent been able to decrypt.

    why use a duel layer disc? i'v backed up both of those movies with a regular dvd-r.why are you wasting a dl if you can do the same job with a regular disc?? am i missing something

    well for one its faster and two theres no compression so no quality lost. I used to burn to dvdr and there is some quality lost.

    ok,i didnt know that. so if i want better quality i just need to use dl disc? is that correct?i guess i need to start buying dl disk if that is correct. is it worth it? i mean with the price being so much for them. thanks

    well, it is to me, i buy dls for about 3 dollars a piece and i guess its the comfort of knowing i have an exact copy and not an altered one.

    if your worried that much about quality why dont you jsut buy(shudder) the movie...or to burn to a standard 4.6gig dvd-r/+r without any noticable loss of quality use RatDVD (i lvoe that program) ive compressed 24 gigs onto a normal dvd-r with no problems and the quality is exellent!
