I purchased an audio cd and tried to back it up but I have been having problems with it. I think it is using Safedisc and I can not back it up. I am using nero 7.5 also clone cd and clonyxl. Does anyone have any ideas to resolve this issue. Thanks
check out the guide in my sig below. if it has a form of copy protection, you should be able to rip it with EAC (exact audio copy) to wave files and burn that to a CDR. also try finding an older version of clone cd. only versions 3.4x and earlier to true 1:1 copies of CDs, and I have had success copying copy-protected CDs in the past with the 3.34 verison of clone cd.
have not heard of that software before. personally I recommend EAC because its free and the best there is, most rippers are freeware like that...but if one like that which is shareware works too then kudos, as long as it works...but EAC is the only ripper I know of that can get around copy protection.
Anydvd will rip the copy protection off of not only DVD's but Audio Cd's as well.. I would suggest checking it out! http://www.slysoft.com/en/
I installed the EAC and I was not able to rip it to cd it still jitters. I followed the instructions to the tee and even went to chismyden.com and followed instructions there. As for the anydvd, I used that too and ran it with my nero 7 but all the copies came out jittery. It can play well on the computer but not on the cd I had just ripped? Any help with this or any idea to why I am havin hard time? Thanks for you help Butintoa
Sounds like a Media or Burn Speed issue... Rule of thumb that I follow is to burn at half the max speed
is the CD severely scratched? What album is it you are trying to rip? so a search with google, perhaps there is some new copy protection on it or whatnot....
This cd is a brand new one no scratches, it is from Fiji/Kiribati artist is Maurine Saunaine, title "Tutulei" recorded by Island Beat Studio (ISB) June 2006. I will try to burn at a lower speed to retry. Thanks for all the help though, I appreciate it. It will play well on the computer and stereos but the burnt ones keeps jittering. I didn't have a problem when I copied my Journey cd, did the guys in the south pacific came up with a copy proof cd? Nah, i just have to retry it will come out soon. Butintoa
Could always try ripping it to your Hard Drive as WAV Files and then burn the WAV's as an audio Cd and see if that works.. But I've found that if you burn CD's to fast Cd Players don't like them as much...
