How can I buy a game now?

    I heard that the upcoming new games like FFVII CC, GOW2, and warrior ororchi wont be able to play without the official 4.0 firmware. Now I use the firmware of 3.71 m33, so even if I want to buy legitimate copies of the games, I wont be able to play them. And who would want to update their psp just to play 3 or 4 legitimate games and never be able to play their downloaded games anymore?

    I heard that 4.0 is made with new programs and codes or something(I am unfamiliar with the terminology here)... so it will be hard to hack... What are we suppose to do now? Will we never be able to buy any legitimate games that will work if the great DA doesn't come through?

    I really want to buy my first psp game, FFVII CC......... but now.... I am having a second thought...

    OK first of all 4.00 is not out yet. Second of all, the latest firmware is 3.90 and it is hacked by D_A. 4.00 Won't be unhackable because after about 25 firmwares don't you think sony would have made it unhackable a long time ago. (By unhackable I mean unable to be CFW-ized). And third of all there's a thing called a pandora's battery which if you wanted to would allow you to go to 4.00 in the future and then just downgrade back again (Pandora is Universal).

    And since you're wondering: Most games can still be played on 3.71 M33-4 so there isn't even a need to update to 3.90 M33 yet! Most games out now will work but if they don't then why not just update?

    So......... no you don't have do update to an imaginary firmware just yet. Sony still has some work to do until that happens.

    Pandora will work for all firmwares, from now until the end of the PSP's updates.

    The only thing that would be hard is the NIDS.
    Which just got switched so they wouldn't do it again.

    But, hardware is a different story.

    All current hardware is downgradable. ((Except that 1 motherboard that won't let you CREATE a Pandora on that PSP.))
    And I doubt that they will make new hardware soon.

    +I can almost guarantee you 4.0 CFW will be out within a week.
    ++We don't even know if it will require 4.0, maybe just 3.90. Only time will tell.

    God, you got me exited....
    February/March has been a good time for PSP games...
    Crisis Core, Patapon, God of War, Monster Hunter 2G. =D
