Ok so my computer is getting on in years now and can't play 1280x720.mkv video's which is what alot of anime episodes are being released in now. So i'd like a way to convert them to 704x396.avi (or whatever the standard SD ratio is) So if someone could point out a program that can do this or a step by step guide on how to do it using vdub (i have it but im a TOTAL n00b at using it) that would be great.
Try Dr Divx: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pr...2.0.1-b7-setup.exe?use_mirror=cdnetworks-us-1 It hasn't been updated for a while, so I'm not sure if it handles MKV/MP$ that well. You can certainly use Virtualdub, 2 methods spring to mind, install the directshow pluigin, http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/virtualdub-now-has-a-directshow-driver-plugin-t348265.html Or use avisynth to open the media file, then open the script in virtualdub.
