After downloading a bittorrent, there were two AVIs -- CD1 and CD2. I then converted each of those AVI files using VSO Divx to DVD, so that I had two separate VTS VOB files. Thereon, I reauthored using DVD Shrink, these 2 titles. I've just completed a test burn on a DVD+RW. There is a momentary pause between the first and second parts of the movie. What I really want is to merge seamlessly both VOB folders into 1 title, so that I can get rid of that momentary pause between the chapters. (And thereby be able to go back to an earlier chapter in the DVD without having to stop the DVD and start over to get to the earlier chapter I want on the DVD.) What do you suggest? Which program (preferably free download program) will help me create a seamless movie? Cheers in advance, RS
You can join the original AVI files with AVIDemux (load the first file, 'Append' the second. Set video and audio to 'copy' and 'format' to AVI - save the file with full name including extension (.avi). http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/
DivX to DVD is no longer made, to my knowledge, get VSO ConvertXtoDVD, it should join the 2 files with out a problem, at least it works great for me.
When your creating your iso image (if that's the path you take) before you start converting the files add both of the titles in your program to convert them at the same time and then you'll end up with one file instead of the two and be able to add menus, say every ten minutes and would not have to worry about going to far back or forwards if you had to skip a chapter or what not. I know it's annoying when you download them and it's 2 seperate files. I use Xilisoft which you would have to pay for. You can download the trail version and be left with a watermark on the movie but also get a feel for the program if you do decided to invest in shareware. DVD Flick is freeware that will also join the two avi files and make them into one file and then you can burn to your disk. I'm not sure if you converted them together or seperate but if you did them seperate and then added the files to the burn engine this could also be causing your "delay".
That is always an option but it seems he already has the file and does not want any lag time while one file finishes and goes to the next.
