Check here: http://www.siliconguide.com/qa/forum/messages/231.shtml It's a dvd burner/dvd rom/cd-rom/and cd burner, comes with the dell dimension, and sold under the brand name LG,but outsourced to HL. There may be something about dvd-ram,but I am unclear. I tried googling and all I came up with is this along with 40 millions pages of trying to find drivers for that model#. What brand name and speed rate are your blank dvd-r?

I couldn't even locate the specs for your drive, but it is a dvd burner. Maybe try some quality plus format.
I'm trying to find out what brand(so I can check for FW updates) burner is in my wifes computer. I did control panel hardware device manager. This is all it said-SCSI DVD-ROM SCSI CDROM DEVICE. Any idea what brand? Thanks-bigt
Hi there, Try VSO Inspector v1.1 It will tell you what burner you have, and the firmware revision. Maybe you will get more info than just SCSI DVD-ROM SCSI CDROM DEVICE
