If you get a Vista disc you will be able to do whatever you want, even dual boot either XP or Vista if you cant decide. Make sure your computer has enough power to run the resource hog, you need more than the minimum recommended system described on the Vista box to make it run smoothly. Make sure Vista has drivers for all your computers hardware and devices. Make sure the software you want to run is compatible with Vista. Save all your data to disk or to a drive that doesnt have your OS on it. After that you should be fine to install...which version were you thinking of?
then you are S.O.L. unless you get a disk with working key numbers. do you expect vista to just appear on your pc as tho by magic?
