how can i patch socom 2 backup to play online??

i have the original socom 2 but i'm trying to play with a backup copy online and i have the image patcher the disc id utility and everything but when i try patching the image i get an error and the error code is as follows: "ERROR: The Image File is not DN*S enabled or uses an unsupported version!" this is what the patcher says if anyone knows how to patch this game please let me know that way i can put away my original so it doesn't get scratched
