    Hello Everyone,

I have a question about playing a game against my boy. I have a few games for the computer that my boy likes to play one of them being Quake 3. He always asks me if I can -VS- him from my computer and he would play on his computer in his room. I have no clue how to do this. Would I need to purchase another copy of Quake 3 to be able to play against my own boy in our house? I have a wireless router hooked up to his computer. If I don't need to purchse another copy could someone please tell me how to set it up so I could play games like Quake 3 against him. If I do need to purchase another copy would you mind walking me through the steps of how to get a game going where it would just be us 2 playing against eachother? I would really appreciate any help you can give. He has been bugging me to do this for a long time and I think it would be fun. Thanks for your help.....

Well yes, you both need to have the game installed on both f your computers. One way to do it would be to connect the 2 PCs with a ethernet cable, and then have your son create a server and you join it.

The easier way would to just join the same server with no people on it and play against your son that way.
