Hi everyone, As the title says, i have my ps3 set up on my television down stairs, but i am keen to be able to play it up stairs but dont want to have to carry it up and down all the time? I am pretty sure the wireless controller will work fine, it is not a massive house, plus the rooms are above each other but i do not have a clue how to set it up. I appologise if there is already a thread for this but i cant seem to find it? There must be some kind of video sender i could buy but i am not sure where to start? Thanks.
a solution is to not be lazy and carry it up! or you can run a very long cable to the upstairs tv and have a swtichbox but that would be very inconvenient, more so than just carrying it
yer i am lazy but... it is more of a pain disconnecting everthing then moving it and there is not a lot of room for it up stairs. I thought of a cable but unless it is Hdmi i will be loosing something and a hdmi that length will be expensive! I need some kind of wireless network thingy set up...
Marmitek GigaVideo800 Wireless HDMI, $750.00. A Long HDMI Cable may be cheaper but may lose quality with a Long cable.
Thanks, just looked at it on google, just what i want, bit on the pricey side but atleast its a posibility!
You could buy another ps3 for that much. Probably the only soloution would be buying a cheap hdmi cable and either drilling through the floor/walls to make it less obvious or stringing it up the stairs. Then just disconnect the cable from the normal tv to upstairs one... it would only take a few minutes Edit: What about one of those boxes that are used to watch pay tv on more than one console, they're only about $70.
I agree, for that price could get a ps3. Probably going for a Hdmi lead will be the cheapest option! Thanks for your surgestions.
Yeah a long HDMi cable is your only option then, but dont skimp out on the cheap cables, it's when you need a long cable where you want to be spending your money on the more expensive cables. Short cables are the only ones you can buy the cheap ones without seeing much difference in performance.
I have not seen this mention, but you might run into problem with the HDCP hand shake this happens alot wen running long hdmi cables even if you use hdmi repeaters.
