how can i reduce the width of my avi? (DivX)

    i've got an avi in divx format which has width - 640 pixels and height - 360 pixels
    how can i reduce the width of my file without affecting the quality and the height?

    thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

    i downloaded that AVI off the net

    nah.. its not some pirated material, i downloaded the video clip off my school's website.

    anyway i've successfully reduce the width using virtual dub, so thanks anyway.
