Without demuxing or muxing. Just purely deleting an audio track and rewriting the file. No conversions. The specific file I am talking about is AVC MPEG-TS with 2 AC-3 audio tracks.
Tha's what re-muxing does. Try TsMuxer or MeGui, both should work.TsMuxer probably easier interface. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/tsMuxeR
The thing is that I tried TsMuxer and i got the video down to one audio track easily, but the video itself did not play smoothly. It was like playing a game with really high ping. Very laggy and jittery after it was muxed.
Don't know why it happens, and cannot help you with that, I use more traditional video formats. Here's where you might get more help, maybe a moderator will "teleport" your thread so you don't multipost: http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/200
Ya I would use more traditional formats, but it's just a soccer game I got and this was the only available format. And thanks hopefully.
Well I demuxed it, and muxed it to m2ts and ts and I still experienced the lag. Also I know that the lag is not because of my computer or video player because it lags at the same spot everytime on every video player I use. I did not try MKV as TSMuxer only does those formats and BD and AVHC.
Thanks man I will try to mux it to an Mp4 first, so I can play it through my xbox 360 with ease. Also, I found a program to delete an audio stream from a TS file without muxing. It's called TSSniper. If anyone's interested http://www.videohelp.com/tools/TSSniper#download It is just a video editor. I was able to delete the unwanted stream and export it to my desktop.
Ac3 is listed as a supported file type by Yamb.I think maybe is the XBOX that doesn't support it in an MP4 container?
No your right AC-3 is supported by yamb. I was using version 1.6 for some reason. I got version 2 and it crashed everytime i tried to join the demuxed files. It did however convert the .ts to mp4 but it was a laggy mess. Whatever...I think I've done all we can do. Thanks though
If the original file, before removing the audio track, plays fine, then you should be able to fix it...
