just got a box off me mate and need to flash it is there any easy way at spotting if it a red or blue before i put the wrong software on an fusk it up
there are several ways but i cant remember off hand them all but i know if you open the front pannel and look at the back of the buttons if they are black its a clone box (need special software) they should be silver and if you look at the top of the box on the right hand side you will see a silver tuner box just inside the vents if there are 11 vents to the end of the tuner its a blue box
try both the blue and red firmware...if it dont work,nothing will happen to your box,unless its a clone box.....see the eurovox thread under he eamos link..it explains everything..hope that helps..

yeah des thanks for that,he said he used the cable before,so i wouldn't have tought at the time it was a vista issue,as you say a "MOD"should no how to use the search facility,any more guff i'm defo gone,as iv'e already seen a few "old friends"knocking about,one in particular had a problem i could have sorted but i have a very long memory.
