How can i tell if my Windows is 64 bit ?

    How can i tell if my windows is 64 bit and know if my comp is Capable of using 64 bit windows? I have AMD anthlon 64 X2 dual core processor.

    You have a 64 bit proccesor, and right click "my computer" then properties and you will see your XP info.

    physical Address Extension

    thats what it said...how do i know if my windows is 64 bit?

    It would say so at startup, your screen would say Windows XP 64 bit edition.

    What tocool4u was trying to say was, the properties of My Computer, you need to look at the top, where it says...

    System:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Professional
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 2


    That's where it would say, x64 Edition.
