Hey AfterDawn.commers, I needed to post here because I don't know where quite where to look for the help I needed. I like taking old silent films on DVD and adding music to them in Premiere Pro, but whenever I get a Pal film turned into AVI, the file plays jerkily in Premiere Pro and I think it might have something to do with the frame rate or something. What I do is rip it using either DVD Decrypter or DVDFab, and then I process into AVI with DVD2AVI, and then I process this AVI through VirtualDub to get into the right AVI format to use in Premiere Pro, but this is not quite working with the PAL DVDs. I've tried running the file numerous times through VirtualDub using different settings and it stills comes out jerky in Premiere. I have the solution for the interlacing that happens to the PAL format in AVI, but I just need one last hint on how to get this file to play smoothly in Premiere. Any ideas? M
I am bumping this thread because I would love to see the answer to this, the idea of adding music to those old films is awesome. Come on guys, help him out...
