    Hi
I have a pentium (R) 4 2.8. In the dxdiag window it says that it has two CPU:s. Some say that these CPU:s are virtual. What does this mean? How can I use each CPU separately for an activity on my pc? For example I want to do a chess engine match with this pc. I want to give each chess engine one cpu separately, so that they can play with equal power. How can I do this or things like this with my two CPU:s? Does anybody know about this? I appreciate any help.

You don't have 2 processors, what you have is an Intel pentium 4 with hyperthreading tech.though it may show 2 processors on the screen.

Follow this link for a better explaination-
