I tried through media center and zune but they don't support those file types. And of course I don't want to transcode all of the videos. Anybody know a way to play those types on an xbox 360? Thanks

You have to transcode them otherwise you are out of luck. The 360 only supports WMV files natively.

VOB files can be easily burned as a DVD movie in Nero if all the files are there.

try looking into programs like TVersity and ORB. These transcode files on the fly. Problem is then the quality can be a little lower than the original. When watching normal VOB files for me the picture quality was really not so great when using them. Then again it could also be that i was streaming them wireless.

So give those two a try since they are free and see what results you get.
