Some time back, there was an article on here saying the Wii was the top selling system between itself, the PS3, and the Xbox 36. Well, where I live, there are 4 different stores that sell it and every Sunday, they have an ad in the newspaper. Well, week after week after week after week, the Wii is NEVER in ANY of the ads! So, if it's never available, how are systems being sold?
Selling, as in, top selling, is based on units sold and not how many adds it appears in the newspapers. Its never available cos its sold as soon as it becomes available either by order or as soon as it hits the selves. Really.
not in the shelves can mean two things: - It's no longer manufactured - It's flying off the shelves Im sure you'd more likely to agree with the second and disagree with the first
I live in Brazil, Indiana... bet youve never heard of it. There are always Wii in stock the past month. This suprises me because we are a small town nowheresville. But maybe that is why there in stock. I figured nintendo just stepped it up.
I live just outside Atlantic City, NJ. I have never seen a wii in stock in any store except bundled with several games. I managed to get mine becuase I knew an employee who called me when they came in.
I live in England. My local towns are always sold out. I don't think they've had a Wii last longer than a day on the shelves they just sell out at such a ridiculous rate its amazing! In fact I can remember the head of Nintendo saying the average Wii console lasts an hour on the shelves before it's snapped up.
I had to wait 6 weeks in Melbourne Australia... then I gave up and bought one from eBay. People here pay a deposit on the unit and wait for a month or more before it comes in, get a call, pay balance and take home new Wii before it makes the shelves. It is outselling Playstation and xbox 3 to 1 here.
