    hi there thanx answering me...

i have my hotbird and w3 dishes installed!
i'm using skystar 2.6D card for viewing dvb-s broadcasts..
i can view regular channels no problem with that
    and i'm using cyberlink codecs
as i know cyberlink7 codecs are capable playing H264 files
so what should i have to do?

IM sorry i wish i could help you i live in canada and know nothing about hotbird or w3. your computer seems like it could handle hd just make sure you have atleast 512mb of ram preferably 1gb. Try playing around with the graphs ( i found nvida cyberlink and intervideo all work well with hd) and also try DVB Dream since i heard it works with hd and skystar cards.
Good Luck and i hope this helps

are you refering to the BBC/ITV/C4/channel5 HD broadcasts on free to air DVB-S ?.

if so, its not just AVC/H.264 your decoder needs but also
they are using the MBAFF part of the H.264 spec so decoders need to do that also, so far nothing comes that close to full 25fps but the best AMDx2.

i understand that the french are also doing MBAFF but in SD format
and the latest VLC has a new MBAFF patch in the latest builds

see the digital spy thread http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=348897&page=40&pp=25 as BetaBoy and the CoreAVC team are readying
a MBAFF enabed AVC/H.264 decoder in a few days.

id imagine everyone know, but just in case lol, coreAVC is a fastest
software AVC/H.264 decoder on the planet right now, even faster than the so called GPU hardware AVC decoders and thats without the H/A being included in the coreAVC yet......

its the only viable option for watching the world cup so far, at least until some Hardware companys get of their arses and include good speced PFGA reprogramable chips in EVERY single peace of hardware they make......

Hi guys, this isn't any help for your PC card questions, but the prototype HD FTA receivers are being tested right now. They should be out shortly. Blacklist is testing one and promised a picture of it in a few days. Since he is doing the testing my guess is its from Pansat. Just some extra info for those wanting HD signals.

From the info I read, Yes. The present problem is that DN is changing the encryptions again. All PPV are out of service for now. Code writers are waiting for the system to settle down to see if they can fix it. Most think they can but since DN is still in a testing stage they are waiting. We should know in a week or so.
