I assume you have a working evox on your box you need to make a evox boot disk with the format hd in the menu ( Item "Install New drive",@210 ) added to evox.ini along with some other tex backup org drive c'e'x'y'z using ftp instal new boot with disk format new ftp again move drive backups to new edit old evox.ini to use drive f

hey guys I just got a hard disk that i'm planning on installing in my modded xbox (I got it for christmas!)

anyways, there's a few things that i really need to get cleared up. first of all, my new HD is 160 gigs, and from what i've read it's usually a good idea to keep HD upgrades to 120 gigs and under. will the xbox just ignore the extra 40 gigs of space, or will it just not take it at all?

also, I have evox version #1.8.3752 on my box, and I'm not sure what HD install method I should use. I know of the HD prep through a pc way, and then there's the HD boot disk that you use while the new HD is in the xbox.

I would really appreciate any help at all, but I need help soon! I have less than a week to get this thing up and running for my brothers to use, then i'm off to the army!

    thanks.

nice tutorial but I would make sure the boot disk works with the org HD before instaling the new just get to the menu and try ftp don't use the format command. I did not see format drive G in the evox.ini I'm not sure what would happen if you added Format g: line, or if left alone would only formate 120 gigs of 160 gigs.
