How do I burn a .iso image onto a DVD and make it bootable?

    I've been trying to burn an .iso image to a DVD, but then when i insert the dvd, it isn't bootable.
    I'm using IsoBuster right now, but not sure if there is any easier software, or the what are the right steps to take.

    What does the .iso contain? Video, music, program installation?
