i have downloaded painkiller. it has 6 files (3 .cue files and 3 .bin files). how do i burn this properly? can some-one talk me through in simple steps, or post a link with the info i need? thanks for your help...moo
It may be better if you first extract the bins and cues to harddisk with e.g. IsoBuster. Then you can burn in whatever way you like.
left click the bin file and there's a thing that says extract to? after u do that to all the bin files use isobuster to create an iso image then just toast it.
burn it with the program of ur choice such as dvd decryter, or nero i'm not very familiar with alcohal 120 so ican't comment on it.
thnaks for all your help, just one more thing.... when using iso buster i can extract a red folder, a blue folder, or a cd icon, which shall i use? cheers, moooooooo.
whatever i do the game won't run i get this error message "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc000142)" what next?? thanks mm.
yep. this is what i have: three .bin files : "dev-pk1", "dev-pk2", "dev-pk3" three .cue files : "dev-pk1", "dev-pk2", "dev-pk3"
inside "dev-pk1.bin" -> PK_1 (red icon "iso"): DEVIANCE (folder contains patch) 2 KB PAINKI~1.ICO 3.55 KB PAINKI~1.EXE 649.41 MB AUTORUN.INF 0.06 KB inside "dev-pk1.bin" -> PK_1 (blue icon): the same files as red icon, but the names are displayed in lower case: DEViANCE 2 KB Painkiller.ico 3.55 KB PainkillerSetup.exe 649.41 MB Autorun.inf 0.06 KB insdie "dev-pk_2.bin": red icon : PAINKILL.002 649.41 MB blue icon : PainkillerSetup.002 649.41 MB insdie "dev-pk_3.bin": red icon : PAINKILL.003 603.74 MB blue icon : PainkillerSetup.003 603.74 MB and when i look at the .cue files they are the same as the .bin fles thanks again for your help. if you can explain this to me you can explain it to anyone.
after extractng the .bin files, using iso buster, i run PainkillerSetup.exe 649.41 MB the game seems to install ok, but when i run the game i get the following error message: "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc000142)" does this mean anything to you? is there a site that lists all error messages? Thanks again, Mad.
It could mean there's an error, the game is copy-protected, or it's not run from a cd. Maybe you could create a virtual drive with Daemon Tools, mount the bin and cue onto it, and try to play the game from there. Good luck! P.S. I'm not sure about the ima format, so may be you can post at the games forum and ask for assistance there.
