I have a video clip that i need to burn onto dvd so that it plays in a dvd player on my tv. the file plays on my cpu with windows media player. under properties the file type is (type of file: Video Clip). i have never heard of that as a valid file extention. also the m0ovie is in 2 parts and i need it to play as one movie off 1 DVD. my dvd burner writes dvd+r. can anyone tell me how to do this. i have never burnt anything besides a data dvd. thank you.
You will have to use a program like ConvertAVITODvd, WinAVI or Nero vision express. These programs convert the AVI file into DVD complient files (IFO, BUP,VOB) If you want to make 1 full video of the 2 parts then import both at the same time. Make sure that part 1 iis listed first.
r u sure these r avi files, they just say "video clip"? r those freeware programs? if so, which is easiest? can you pick one and give me a walkthrough of exactly how to do it? i have never done this befor, and from what i understand, its hard to get them just right to play on a standard dvd player. thank you.
What extension are the files? If you do not see the extension of the files then do the below... Go to the folder that the files are located. Now on the toolbar at the top of the window click on "TOOLS" then slide down the popup menu to "FOLDER OPTIONS" Now the folder options window comes up. Click on the "VIEW" Tab. Now go down the list till you find where it says "Hide extensions of known file types" Now to the left of that untick the box. Then click Apply in the Folder Otpions window and then close out of the windows folder option menu. You then should see the three letter extension after the file name (video.avi) diffrent extensions are (.avi/.mov/.mpeg/.wma etc etc) Most converting programs will be pay programs. The only guide that I have found for you to follow would be if you used Nero Vision Express. If you have the ultra version of Nero then you should have Vision Express. Below is the guide to using Nero... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946
