Could someone please explain how to capture video from my VCR to Nero Vision 4 (1 that came with Nero 7). I select [bold]"make movie" [/bold]from Nero 7 Smart Start and that opens Nero Vision, Then I select [bold]"capture" [/bold]and a screen opens that says I can [bold]"select a device and capture video to my hard disc" [/bold]and I have 2 options: my webcam and my [bold]"conexant falcon II NTSC video capture" [/bold]which is the capture card that came with my HP media centre computer. Now, It says:[bold]recording disabled: No Signal detected.[/bold] What do I do now??? I pluged in the vcr to the card via audio video cables and how do I get the image being output from the VCR to Nero Vision ??? Is there some settings or options I must select??? None of the HELP PDF's from the Nero site for some reason won't DL and I have no idea how to work Nero Vision in this manner... Any Suggestions???

Do you actually have the VCR playing something while trying to setup?
It should detect it then. I do not have Nero 7, only a similar problem with 6 when I tried doing the same thing with my TIVO.

I just purchased nero 7 and am having the same trouble. I have my hi8 cam playing into my vcr and the coax going to my ATI unified avstream video card. It will start recording to my computer and then just stop seeing the data after 1 to 2 minutes and end the recording even though the video is still going.. I have no idea what to do

Once again, I do not have Nero 7 only 6 so take these tips accordingly. My capture card's original program, not Nero but the software installed for the specific card had settings tucked away to either limit the recording by time, or by a selected size on the hard drive. I kept trying to run a video, similar to you, but it kept cutting out early and found my capture card automatically shutoff after filling 2GB worth of data. I couldn't figure out why it kept stopping after 15 minutes. I found the settings and went unlimited time vs. HD space and fixed it.
