how do i change my language of dvd

    i down loaded an avi movie onto my pc from the internet and it was in a language i could not understand. i intend to convert into an mpeg format and burn as DVD, how can i change that language to english before burning the movie on a cd?

    Unless there was an English sound track embedded (which I doubt) or you have a seperate English sound track, you can't.

    But isit possible to extract the sound track,translate it into English and reinstall?

    I would guess it's possible. I don't know of any audio translation programs (but then, never had a need for one). You'd have to have that or translate it yourself. There might be sync (sound and audio matching) problems that would need attention. All things considered, it sounds like a lot of work. Isn't there an English version of the movie available?

    How do you do that? I've never heard of that.

    dolphin2 is correct in that your only hope is to find an English version of the movie and extract the soundtrack. If you did that, you probably wouldn't need your current copy.
