Im trying this new program called video downloader for firefox. it records streaming video into .flv files that i can play using a flvplayer. how would i convert that to a normal mpg or avi file so i can burn them to a dvd? thanks.
I found Flash to Video Encoder PRO 4.4 but its not freeware. are their any free programs that will covert .flv to avi or mpg?? thanks.
Does it use VP62 or Spark video? There are a few apps that are ffmpeg based, but ffmpeg can only handle Spark. Gabest's flvsplitter filter can handle both and has a VP62 decoder built in. Then you can convert via any app that accepts input via dshow or frameserve with AVISynth using directshowsource().
english english! how do i find out?? all i know is that i got some cool videos in .flv format that i want to change to a mpg or avi file.
Try this: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Works perfectly for me and it's also free. Not sure if it will convert FLV files to AVI, but will convert FLV to DVD format.
